A 25-year-old young man was shot dead in the Buenos Aires town of Florencio Varela, and the main suspects are his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and ex-partner, who are on the run. The victim's sister, Yanina Colla, is asking for justice and for the three responsible to be caught, as she claims that they all have guilt in the crime.
Colla expressed in an interview: “They were in that situation for two years. All we ask is for justice and for the three to fall, because they all have guilt.” The woman emotionally described her pain at the loss of her brother, who was her twin. “I don’t know how I’m still standing, because they killed my brother who was my baby. I took care of him a lot, I protected him a lot, and this time I couldn’t protect him as a sister, and that hurts my heart,” she shared, moved.
She detailed that the murder occurred in a violent and cruel manner: “He arrived and shot and killed him. Their mother, father, and Milagros were there, while they left my brother on the floor, because he was already dead, they didn’t even have the consciousness or the heart to help José, as they then fled.” Additionally, she mentioned: “All the neighbors saw the situation and there are many witnesses to that.”
Yanina Colla reported that the corresponding complaint was made to the authorities and that the Police are searching for the fugitives. She recounted that the father of the ex-partner suddenly arrived and shot three times at her brother, without giving him a chance to react. The young woman expressed her despair at not having answers from the prosecutor and highlighted that the family is participating in a mobilization at the Florencio Varela prosecutor's office seeking justice.
The victim, José Luis Colla Dávallos, was described by his sister as a good, hardworking, and humble boy. He was finishing his relationship with Milagros Maidana, and according to Yanina, the situation was predictable: “He had just come home from work and told my father to have some mate, and Milagros arrives at the house just then, my father goes home and leaves them alone.” The relationship between the couple had its ups and downs, being considered young people who lived together at various times.
The family hopes that justice will be served for the death of José Luis and that those responsible for the crime will be brought to book.
